How we got here.
From one towel in a garage to forty homes and a factory.
A robot that folds towels
Inês Carvalho and Theo Marsh build the first arm in a Lisbon garage to fold one towel. It takes nine minutes.
Seed round, and a name
$6M from people who'd bought robot vacuums and wanted more. The team calls the prototype Tuck because it tucked in a blanket.
The knit suit
After a toddler test goes badly for a plastic shell, Tuck gets a soft body. Nobody has asked for the plastic back.
Forty homes
Tuck lives with forty families in Porto, Leeds and Austin for a year. They log 61,000 chores and 212 bruised shins avoided.
Series A and a factory
$48M to build Tuck in Porto. Best in Show, Home Tech, at Oakum Design Week.
Tuck 01 ships
First deliveries in March, to the US, UK and Portugal. Reservations are open now.

Live with it first
Every engineer takes a Tuck home for a month a year. You fix things faster when they annoy you personally.
